BCCUn is required to collect certain information which allows the Credit Union to comply with our obligations under Legislation in relation to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF).
Higher value transactions:
Transactions over £2,500 up to £4,999.99
- Proof of Identity: Passport, Driver’s licence, A National Identity Card.
- Proof of Address: A copy of a Utility Bill, Correspondence from a Regulated Financial
- Institution or a Government Department.
- The reason for the transaction
Transactions over £5,000
- Proof of Identity: Passport, Driver’s licence, A National Identity Card.
- Proof of Address: A copy of a Utility Bill, Correspondence from a Regulated.
- Financial Institution or a Government Department.
- The reason for the transaction and source of funds
* All items should be dated within the last 3 months.
Regardless of the value of Foreign Exchange transaction we will collect:
- Membership Number
- Name
- Address
- Date of Birth

Oil Stamps
BCCU along with Ballymena and Causeway Borough Council and St Vincent De Paul are join sponsors of the Ballymena and Causeway Oil Stamp Scheme.
Members can buy oil stamps at a cost of £5 each and build them up to assist with future purchases of heating oil. This allows members to budget more easily for this regular expense.
